Sahmeran

Last Saturday, we enjoyed our second meal at Şahmeran in Colmar, and it was just as wonderful as the first! Both times, my husband and I chose platters to share, which were absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Our first visit was for an evening meal, and this time we came for a late Saturday lunch and both experiences were amazing. The food is fresh, flavourful, and authentically Turkish, and the service is outstanding, so attentive, friendly, and always with a smile. It’s such a welcoming place with a lovely atmosphere. We’ll definitely be returning again soon!

What a gem. We wanted something different than German or Alsatian food and found this place. Food was amazing. My husband and I shared the menu du sultan (for 2 people and you get apps, meats, dessert). It was great. The apps/mezes were a variety with bread. Our favorite was chicken/nuts, tomato, and the eggplant (see photo). Then came a variety of meats (lamb chop, lamb kabobs, chicken kabobs, and mixed meat with 2 rices and fries. So good and way more food than for 2 people. We then each got a dessert. Katmer was our favorite. The waitstaff was friendly and could help us decide on options. We had our young adult children with us and they helped us eat the apps and dessert and we still couldn’t finish it. Great price at 65 euros. Highly recommend you try this place!

We loved it. We had it everyday for dinner during our stay there. The service was great very friendly employees. The food was amazing, the meat always so tender, we tried different dishes on their menu and we loved them all. Highly recommend this restaurant if you're in colmar area. The atmosphere was just great.

An excellent restaurant, where we finally found a place to sit in the middle of the Christmas crowd. The food is good and the waiters are friendly. I hope they accidentally charged us for three baklavas and brought us two.

A great turkish restaurant in Colmar. The restaurant interior is very nice with its traditional style and comfy sittings, the food is delicious but the portions can be bigger according to the prices. Overall, it's good to try it if you want oriental food in Colmar

I highly recommend Sahmeran, a beautifully decorated Turkish restaurant with incredible service. From the moment we walked in the door, the staff were friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed throughout the evening. The food was absolutely delicious and the portion sizes were generous. Each dish was bursting with flavor, with the lamb chops and dips being a standout. But beyond the food, it was the service that really made the evening special. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and gave us great recommendations. They also checked in on us frequently to ensure we were enjoying our meal and had everything we needed.
